     Originally from Hudson, Iowa, Mrs. Nugent is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa having earned a BA in English teaching.  She lives in Ankeny with her husband and 2 year old daughter.
     Mrs. Nugent and her family have lived in the Ankeny community one year now.  Recently returning to Iowa from Colorado after battling breast cancer, Mrs. Nugent spent three years teaching at Falcon High School in Falcon, Colorado, near Colorado Springs before she taught at Northview.  There, she taught both regular and Honors English 9, American Literature, British Literature, Gothic Novels, Mythology, and Speech.  In addition, Mrs. Nugent was the journalism teacher and newspaper adviser for the Falcon High School's paper, The Talon.
     Mrs. Nugent's parents still live in Hudson, Iowa, and her sister is attending Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, in the Physican's Assistant program.  Mrs. Nugent has one dog named Bane and two cats, Loki and Tyr.  Mrs. Nugent enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and drinking coffee.
